Unfortunately, we cannot offer any help in verifying prop authenticity.
For movie and television props and memorabilia, the only verified evidence would be a valid certificate of authenticity from an official source (such as the film studio) or a signed letter from someone connected with the project confirming the provenance of the piece.
Stan Winston School can neither verify authenticity through photographs nor through a direct examination of the piece by the artist who may have designed, sculpted, molded, cast, or painted the piece. Forgeries made from castings of original props would be indistinguishable from screen-used props. In fact, actual props are often more flimsy and insubstantial than expected—since they are most commonly made for limited use, not archival longevity.
